Introduction to the Flat Earth Models

Multiple Models of the Many Minds

The Flat Earth community cannot agree on a singular model for our Earth and it is what makes the community so incredible. We are a group of open minded people who divulge into critical thinking and are capable of analyzing and interpreting data in multiple ways. As we are questioning everything, we are opening ourselves up to more interpretations of the same truths.

Below is a basic summary of the different models that commonly appear on Flat Earth forums.

THE DOME

In Flat Earth literature, “the Dome” is not a single standardized idea—it’s a variable concept that changes depending on the model and author. It generally is referred to as a barrier, separating our known laws and life, from the rest of space.

The Solid Dome

The Dome is said to be made of either:

ice
crystalline structure
energetic barrier
unknown material

It holds in the air and separates it from the outer water reservoirs.

Stars are represented in this model by:

Light Reflection from the sun and angle of tilt from the earth on the domes surface
Small holes/gaps in the domes surface
Stars embedded in the dome itself

The Atmospheric Dome

Most similar to what the globists are told, the atmospheric model shows the dome not as a physical barrier, but as a layer of gases that regulate weather patterns.

Within the dome, most models have the sun and moon within the atmospheric dome, but some show the sun being much further away.

Non-Dome Models

Not all Flat Earth models have a dome, though most do.

In the models without a dome, the sky is viewed as open space or an atmosphere extending upward indefinitely. The atmosphere extends upward indefinitely, gradually becoming thinner.

The Sun and Moon are much smaller than the earth and much closer to Earth than in conventional astronomy. Day and night are explained by the Sun acting like a spotlight, illuminating only part of the Earth's surface at a given time.

Stars are typically viewed as relatively nearby objects moving above the flat Earth, though explanations vary widely between different versions of the theory.

There currently is no singular model for a Flat Earth without a dome that is accepted, in its entirerty.

The Edge of the Earth

The Flat Earth models vary when it comes to the shape of the Earth.

These features include whether or not there is an actual edge or barrier to the end of the planet, or if it continues forever. The other topic is the matter of the Ice Wall.

The Infinite Plane

The infinite plane model shows us that humans only occupy a tiny portion of a much larger plane. Countless other continents, civilizations, or unexplored regions may exist beyond the known world.

An infinite plane of uniform density can produce a finite gravitational field based on the results from Newtonian gravity and Gauss's Law. Atmospheric pressure decreases with altitude because the weight of the air above decreases.

The Ice Wall

As you get further and further away from the sun, the climate gets colder and produces a wall of ice, from the gradual freezing of the oceans over time. Some people believe that there are civilizations in the planes beyond our known Earth, others believe that there is only ice. It is also possible that there are oil/ coal/ precious mineral deposits in the ground beyond the ice wall, but an expedition will be necessary to discover the truth.

THE PLANES

How flat is a Flat Earth?

Many models accept that there are mountains and valleys, but there are a few that think differently. In the fairness and completness of this informative site, I will describe them below.

The Flatest Earth Model

Some mathematical discussions of an infinite plane assume:

A perfectly uniform density
A perfectly flat surface
No mountains, valleys, or terrain

This is typically done to simplify assumptions, to make calculations possible, not as a claim that mountains are absent in reality.

That being said, beacause the math makes this assumption possible, there is a small following that take this to be true. Additionally, in 2017 it was discovered that about 1 billion years ago, the Earth was actually completely flat, without any mountain or valleys. Some could argue that this proves the dimensionality/theory of an infinite completely Flat Earth plane because it did exist at the start of our history, but over time the great planes shifted, like that of Pangea.

Flat Earth Models

There are a large number of Flat Earth Models but to say they are all equal would be a lie.

All of the Flat Earth models have been tested, experimented with, and adjusted to fit different conclusions and observations over time. Currently the most accepted theory with the largest following is the Firment Model. As the aurthor of this page, I can say that in my own personal experience, I have met many people who support the Artifical Planet/ Simulation Theory. In my extensive studies on the subject, the Rounedge Model and the Halphere Model seemed to be the models that both stray from religion and align with what the average globists can't disprove.

The Rounedge Model

This globe-like model shows the earth having a slightly curved surface while still maintaining common Flat Earth theories such as the Ice Wall boundries and under Earth Pillars. This theory was derived after experimentation with the Flatest Model and was developed to reconcile observations such as the curved horizon seen from aircraft & high altitude, wide-angle lens distortion in photography, and atmospheric refraction near the horizon.

This model is a flat plane with some perceived curvature.

The Firament Model

A solid dome that covers the entire Earth and contains the Sun and the Moon inside.

The Dome itself can sometimes be described as transparent glass, crystal, or an unknown material.

The stars in the sky are small rips/punctures in the dome. In some of the firament models the stars are located outside the dome, debris floating in the waters. Other models believe that the stars are located just a few hundred miles from the surface of the earth.

This model can be used to explain why the sky appears curved and celestial bodies seem contained. Due to the tangible dome enclosing the Earth in a closed system, space travel to other planets/systems is rejected.

The Firament Flat Earth is depicted above as having religious undertones, but not all Firament models have a Heavens Chamber and Sheal Underworld. Many of these models focus on only the biogeograohical aspects of the Earth.

An Artificial Planet

Created by some higher power with technology/skill far greater than we know, the Flat Earth model was created as a better way of watching over our species.

The governement wants us to think of the world as a globe, safely connected with only each other while they analyze the technology below us.

The Halphere Model

Derived from the Dome model, The Half-Sphere Earth Model describes Earth as a flat plane combined with a hemispherical dome above it, forming a closed half-sphere enclosure. In this structure, the flat surface represents the inhabited world, while the upper half-sphere acts as a boundary that contains the atmosphere and celestial objects. The Sun, Moon, and stars are typically positioned within or on the inner surface of the dome and move in patterned paths to produce day-night cycles and seasonal changes. Unlike simpler flat disk models, this version explicitly uses curved geometry for the upper boundary while keeping the ground level flat. The model is often used to explain horizon curvature and sky appearance by attributing them to the geometry of the enclosing hemisphere rather than a spherical Earth.

The Accelerating Flat Earth Model

This model focases on why gravity falls at 9.8 m/s/s which is qn ambitious feat considering that even conventional physics is not able to provide a reason for this phenomenon.
