The Flat Earth Community has shown time and time again that there are experiments that can be performed at home to prove that the Earth is Flat. We continue to prove that the world is different than what most people believe, and yet the community is mocked for it.
An observation is not unbiased. Multiple conclusions can be drawn from the same facts. People outside of the Flat Earth Community refuse to acknowledge other perspectives and other interpretations of the same evidence.
The goal of this site is so show everyone that the idea of a Flat Earth is not an unsubstantiated theory. There is no single Flat Earth Model accepted by all because every conclusion from every experiment can be interpreted differently.
It's not "ignoring science". It's critical thinking.
We have math, sceince, history and readings all explaining that the Earth is not a globe. On the other hand, we also have some proofs that it is a globe. So what evidence will provide the absolute proof needed so that there can be no mistaking it?
Gravity
Mainstream Science doesn't claim to understand everything about gravity so why is a gravity concept able to dismantle an argument? Until the force can be fully understood, described, and documented-- there is no reason to include it as a definitive.
The Horizon
A common misconception. The horizon always rises to eye level, not below like a globe would require. Perspective causes distant objects to appear smaller. Atmospheric effects obscure distant objects. Zooming in can sometimes bring distant objects back into view. A common argument is that if Earth curves at about 8 inches per mile squared (a frequently cited approximation), the curvature should be obvious across large bodies of water. With the number of variables that affect our sight over these distances, it is not safe to say that we must rely on our eyesight alone to prove either point.
Navigation
Polaris, the North star, remains nearly fixed in the sky. Its elevation above the horizon correlates with latitude. This can be explained by movement on a flat plane. The flat-Earth model generally places the magnetic North Pole near the center of the Earth disk. Compasses naturally point toward this central north. Compass behavior is therefore consistent with a flat map centered on the North Pole.
