This model is the most widely used and referenced model in the Flat Earth Community. It is referenced in bibles, in historic texts, and is one of the first models we have of our planet. This is the model the Flat Earth Society has mainly adopted and has, by far, the largest following. 

A solid dome that covers the entire Earth and contains the Sun and the Moon inside. The Dome itself can sometimes be described as transparent glass, crystal, or an unknown material.

The stars in the sky are small rips/punctures in the dome. In some of the firament models the stars are located outside the dome, debris floating in the waters. Other models believe that the stars are located just a few hundred miles from the surface of the earth.

This model can be used to explain why the sky appears curved and sun/moon seem contained. Due to the tangible dome enclosing the Earth in a closed system, space travel to other planets/systems is rejected.

The Firament Flat Earth is depicted above as having religious undertones, but not all Firament models have a Heavens Chamber and Sheal Underworld. Many of these models focus on only the biogeograohical aspects of the Earth.

As of September 2026, the Dinosaur Earth Page host company is shut down. 

The site's origin story claims that Earth was spherical until approximately 73 million years ago, when intelligent velociraptors altered its shape to resemble themselves. According to the dinosaurearthsociety.com, governments invent fictional countries such as Finland and New Zealand. The site states that if your country doesn't appear in its purported satellite imagery, it probably doesn't exist. 

The website claims to be serious, but the parody-like presentation indicate that it is a satirical internet conspiracy theory rather than a scientifically supported model. While it gains a large following online, the members state that they do not believe in the model, but they do enjoy dinosaurs. 

The Flat Earth Community does not reject this model on the basis that it is absurd, they reject the model because Finland does exist. Unlike the edge of the earth/the ice wall in other Flat Earth Models, the average person can see that Finland exists through observation and without having to cross the border into the country. 

Many groups in the community like to model the world beyond the ice wall. 

The World BTIW is a collaborative fictional world where every conspiracy is true. Every cryptid, every secret society, every occult concept is all tied together in a single grand narrative that unifies the lore of UFOlogy, lost civilizations, modern myths, urban legends and esoteric writings across the past few centuries.

Lands beyond the ice wall in an infinite plane are statistically very likely. We can't know what lands lay beyond the wall, but we can know of the civilizations that have traveled to us and those that left us. 

The bubble wrap model shows that there are other civilizations, like our dome, that live on the infinite plane.  While purely speculaitve at this moment, this model helps show the endless possibilties and importance of exploration.

One model for Flat Earth is the idea that the Planet is not a natural phenomenon. 

This version treats Earth as an engineered environment. A higher intelligence might have designed its geometry, its physical constants, and the rules governing its inhabitants. Some versions resemble a simulation hypothesis; others imagine a physical structure built by a creator. Neither requires a biblical interpretation.

This theory accounts for physics constants, such as gravity, being added in like a variable being entered in a computer. The variable was added so the system adapts to it.
